A career built through routine, detail and longevity
Zorana Arunović was born on November 22, 1986, in Belgrade, Serbia. She has been involved in shooting since 2001, specializing in pistol events, especially 10m air pistol and 25m pistol. Over a long and highly successful international career, she has become one of the most important names in both European and world shooting.
Zorana holds a degree in philology from the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade.
During her career she has represented Policajac and Crvena zvezda, and today she competes for Olimpik 011.
Her coach is Jelena Arunović, her sister. Their collaboration is one of the key foundations of her career.
Among the defining moments of her sporting journey are the world title in Munich in 2010, the European title and world record in Maribor in 2017, two gold medals at the European Games, and the Olympic gold medal won in Paris in 2024 in the mixed team event with Damir Mikec.

At the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Zorana Arunović won gold in the 10m air pistol mixed team event together with Damir Mikec. It was her first Olympic medal and the brightest peak of her career.

She begins competing and starts her active journey in shooting.
She appears at the European Championship in Győr in the junior 10m air pistol category. This is one of the early international appearances in her career.
She wins gold at the Junior World Championship in Zagreb in the 25m pistol event with a score of 577. In the same year, she also wins gold at the Junior European Championship in Moscow in the 10m air pistol event. This is the year in which she clearly steps onto the major international stage.
A major senior breakthrough. At the World Championship in Munich, she wins gold in the 10m air pistol event and becomes world champion. At the same championship, she also wins silver in the 25m pistol event.
She continues a run of high-level results with World Cup finals, European Championship performances, and additional senior achievements that confirm her place among the world's elite.

She competes at the Rio Olympic Games in 10m air pistol and 25m pistol. Although she does not win a medal, she remains among the closest circle of Olympic-level competitors.
At the European Championship in Maribor, she wins gold in 10m air pistol and sets a world final record of 246.9. This remains one of the defining moments of her career.
At the World Championship in Changwon, she wins silver in 10m air pistol, while also collecting multiple medals at World Cup events during the year.
At the European Games in Minsk, she wins gold in 10m air pistol and silver in the 10m air pistol mixed team event.
This period brings the rise of the mixed team format, and Zorana continues to collect finals and medals at both European and world level. At the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2021, she places 4th in mixed team and 9th in 25m pistol.
A very strong year. At the World Championship in Cairo, she wins bronze in 10m air pistol. At the European Championship in Hamar, she wins team gold, individual silver, and mixed team bronze. During the same year, she also wins multiple World Cup gold medals.
At the European Championship in Tallinn, she wins gold in mixed team and silver in team competition. She continues her run of medals and finals at the highest level.
At the Munich World Cup, she wins gold in 10m air pistol. At the Paris Olympic Games, she wins gold in the 10m air pistol mixed team event, while also earning a bronze medal at the European Championship in Győr in the individual event.
At the European Championship in Osijek, she wins silver in 10m air pistol and bronze in the mixed team event.
At the ISSF World Cup in Granada on April 11, 2026, she wins bronze in the 10m air pistol final with a total score of 219.3.
